The creeper silhouette has come a long way from rockabilly rumbles. Rihanna adopting the design catapulted it back into the hype cycle; PUMA then delivered a sort of diffusion line of the look with the Basket Platform; and now the creeper has gone high fashion.
Alexander McQueen’s luxe remix of the look produces a pared-back, minimal sneaker with smooth suede uppers and a hefty midsole. A unique closure system sees laces ditched in favour of elastic bands and the eyelet area exaggerated with flaps over the midfoot.
