What a time to be alive for Air Max aficionados! Not only are the AM93, AM98 and AM180 all making a grand return in the lead up to Air Max Day, but we also now have word that another – and far more neglected – big bubble silhouette will receive retro honours.
Instagram leaker sneakerjamz has shared images of an Air Max Deluxe sample, purported to release later this year. The Air Max Deluxe first hit stores in 1999. It featured a full-length Air unit and wavy 3M upper inspired by the AM97.
The model shown features a black and dark grey colourway with repeated Nike logos on the TPU upper overlay. The colourway is reminiscent of one of the runner's OG make-ups, though noticeably different.
While the Nike Air Max Deluxe is not officially confirmed for a retro return in 2018 at this stage, we'll definitely be keeping our fingers crossed! Stay tuned for updates.
