UPDATE: It's not long until the Air Jordan CNY Collection drops around the world, and the crew over at Stadium Goods have already snagged their 12s. These ones are pretty special, with a simple colourway and exquisite detailing – don't miss the global release on January 28.

have revealed a special trio of Jays, celebrating the Year of the Rooster. The Air Jordan 'Chinese New Year' Collections consists of two different make-ups of the , along with a new rendition of the .

The first Air Jordan 12 mimics the classic 'Taxi' make-up with a few slight changes – and one that's not so subtle. The Taxi's gold accents have been replaced with bamboo detailing, while the mudguard continues the bamboo theme with woven embossing. Avoiding all confusion with the OG '97 colourway, a reflective coating has been applied to the entirety of the shoe's white leather upper for some serious shine. The other Air Jordan 12, releasing exclusively in women's sizing, features the same Chinese characters and bamboo details, but opts for a sandy leather upper with bright red accents. The Air Jordan XXXI features a black to white gradient fade with bamboo detailing.

As is only fitting, the Air Jordan 'Chinese New Year' Collection will first be released in China on December 25, through Jordan.com. A wider release will follow on January 7 through select Chinese Jordan Brand stockists, including Hong Kong's Kicks Lounge, Shanghai's WZK, Beijing's Yaxin and Taipei's PHANTACI. A global release is rumoured for January 28. We'll keep you posted!
