Before Michael Jordan was raking in rings with the Bulls, he was leading the University of North Carolina to victory in the NCAA championships. Paying tribute to the GOAT’s alma mater, Jordan Brand have hit us with a number of ‘University Blue’ make-ups over the years, utilising the Tar Heels’ signature combination of white and baby blue. Now, it’s time for Air Jordan 7 to get in on the action.
Featuring an azure nubuck upper treated with crisp white accents and matching sole unit, the new colourway bears a striking resemblance to the Air Jordan 7 created as part of 2010’s ‘Pantone 284’ collection – named after the technical name for the iconic hue. With that collection never released to the general public, you can bet these will be eagerly anticipated.
The release date for the Air Jordan 7 ‘University Blue’ hasn’t been announced at this point in time, but we can expect them to drop in the coming months as part of Jordan Brand’s 2017 spring/summer line-up.
