Doernbecher x Nike Freestyle collection is packed with inspiring, unique designs from a few youngsters, reflecting on their own journey with illness at the Children’s Hospital. The , designed by 10-year old Damien Phillips, is easily one of the collection’s highlights. Damien’s design cues were drawn from a few of his favourite things – namely playing guitar and his favourite NBA team, the Chicago Bulls. According to the young designer himself, Michael Jordan will want to wear these shoes. We reckon he’s on the money with that prediction. When the Jay-man notices his own words printed on the insole ‘Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game.’ How could he resist?
