UPDATE: The 'Alternate' Air Jordan 6 is nearly here – and as we count down the days to its release, we've got a great look at the shoe courtesy of Finish Line. We're even getting to see something we hadn't seen before in previous images: the '1991' stitched behind the tongue, which is presumed to be a reference to MJ wearing Jordan 6s while playing for the Chicago Bulls that year. The sneaker will be stocked on Finish Line shelves on March 11.
UPDATE: Originally tipped to be an adaptation of the Air Jordan 7's mighty 'Hare' colourway, fresh information has confirmed this release to be the next 'Alternate' entry in the Air Jordan line. A slight tweak of the Air Jordan 6 'Maroon' colourway, you can expect these to release in 2017, shortly after the release of the recently-revealed Air Jordan 8 'Alternate'.
The Air Jordan 6 'Alternate' will hit Nike.com and select Swoosh stockists on March 11.
Pictures have emerged of an Air Jordan 6 in a colourway that looks to be the same combo as the famous 'Hare' iteration. The sculpted panels of number six in the Jordan line have been made up in a mix of micro-perforated white leather and light grey durabuck. With a makeup similar to the ‘Maroon’ of 2015, the tongue and heel accents blaze in red. The underside of the tongue bears an embroidered ‘1991’ which is believed to be a reference to the original release date of the model.
Details are still a little sketchy in regards to the Air Jordan 6 ‘Hare’ with no official information as yet. We’re sure it will all come to light shortly. Stay tuned.
