UPDATE: For those that prefer their Jays a little more premium, the Air Jordan 5 Take Flight in 'Triple White' is available now through selected Jordan Brand stockists worldwide, including Foot District. The price on these is far from cheap – at more than double that of a standard retro Air Jordan release – but that extra cost is reflective of the materials and craftsmanship. Treat yourself!
UPDATE: The upcoming Air Jordan 5 'Take Flight' has spread its wings and is on its way to a sneaker store near you. The platinum Jay will be landing on April 22 at select stockists, and if your local is not one of them then hit up Livestock to get yourself sorted.
UPDATE: Official images have finally arrived! Jordan Brand have confirmed that a 'Triple White' version of the Air Jordan 5 'Take Flight' is on the way and will be arriving as part of their 2017 spring/summer line-up. An exact release date is yet to be announced, but expect these to hit NDC and select Jordan Brand stockists in limited numbers over the coming months.
While a Pinnacle version of the Air Jordan 5 is yet to materialise, Jordan Brand recently swooped in with a uber-luxe iteration of the classic Jay under the moniker 'Take Flight'. Now, a leaked sample has revealed a white version of the premium AJ5. This 'Triple White' make-up features the same rope laces, embossed branding and triangular 'Flight' lace lock of the earlier sequoia-coloured release, but adds woven detailing to the tongue and sidewall ventilation. This decadent release features opulent gold lace tips and a plush leather lining for premium comfort.
At this stage, no release date for the Air Jordan 5 Take Flight 'Triple White' has been announced. We'll keep you posted as more details are revealed.
