Tinker Hatfield has wrapped the iconic Air Jordan 5 in some ‘Maize’ suede, paying tribute to the Fab Five – a game-changing force in 90s college basketball. The shoe was created to celebrate the legendary University of Michigan team, as well as to mark the start of a new era between the current roster and Jordan Brand. The colourway matches the yellow on the Wolverine’s uniform, while the large ‘M’ on the tongue is fairly self-explanatory. On the heel is a special logo, which depicts the ‘five times’ hand sign that was used by the players over 20 years ago.
Sadly for most, the Air Jordan 5 ‘Fab Five’ won’t be available to the public – it will be given to the friends and family of Jordan Brand.
