UPDATE: Jordan Brand's Pinnacle line is known for bringing a taste of luxury to the court, but this 'Obsidian' Jordan seems to have upped the ante. Detailed images that have just showed up on SNKRS highlight the craftsmanship of the quilting and have the bronze studs and eyelets looking sumptuous. They're really something else – although, with the $400 price tag, you'd expect them to be. As well as Solefly, you'll be able to pick these up from the SNKRS page of Nike online on September 17.
The Air Jordan 4 might be steeped in basketball prestige, but this number is for ballers of the off-court variety. The latest entry in Nike’s ‘Pinnacle’ catalogue, this AJ4 is drenched in luxe materials. The premium leather has been worked into a mixture of quilted and snakeskin-embossing, and the Jumpman has also been embossed on the heel. The true signifier of Pinnacle status shows in the metal work – which can be seen in brass-coloured lower and upper eyelets, and on the heel tab studs.
If you’re levelled up enough not to baulk at a $400 price tag, you can pick up a pair from Solefly on September 17.
