In 2002, Michael Jordan had dusted off his finger wands and was trying to make some magic with the the Washington Wizards. He probably wishes he had an invisibility cloak for much of the time, though; because, you see, the team wasn't very good at all and the comeback tarnished his legacy a tiny bit. Tinker Hatfield and homies were still crafting new Js every year for His Airness even when he was straight chilling (side note: is that why Jordans are still coming out today? Because no one can be sure that he won't pull back on the ball boots for the Hornets?), so the 17+ was primed for court use. Without the indomitable Bulls colour palette of red and black, though, the colourways kinda sucked. So now Jordan Brand are making it right, delivering a 17+ as if the whole Washington affair was struck from the record and MJ was a bull for life. That's some wizardry we can appreciate.
The Air Jordan 17+ 'Bred' arrives at Jordan Brand retailers on May 29, including Shoe Palace.
