UPDATE: The last hurrah for the Rio Olympics is closing in, and in anticipation we've finally got some proper images of these gold-brandishing 'Closing Ceremony' Air Jordan 11s. Set to drop a touch after the actual closing ceremony, these AJ11s will be popping up at retailers like The Closet Inc on August 27.
UPDATE: With that lustrous gilt mudguard, we had a sneaking suspicion this Air Jordan 11 Low might be an Olympic-inspired release and now our hypothesis has been confirmed. The colourway has been dubbed 'Closing Ceremony' and, as the name implies, they will be releasing to commemorate the end of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games down in Rio.
The Air Jordan 11 'Closing Ceremony' will release on August 27, the week of the Games' grand finale. You'll be able to cop them through Nike.com and select Jordan Brand stockists.
Note: The above images are of the GS release. We'll keep you updated with images of the men's version when they are revealed.
There’s been some highly anticipated drops of Air Jordan 11 Lows recently. Following recent ‘Midnight Navy’ and ‘Cherry’ colourways, the iconic silhouette will now release with a ‘Metallic Gold’ mudguard. Gold accents feature across the sneaker’s white tumbled-leather upper which sits atop an icy translucent sole. Releasing initially in grade school sizes, adult Jumpman fans will need to keep their fingers crossed for a full release.
Expect the Metallic Gold colourway of the Air Jordan 11 Low to release in the coming months via select Jordan Brand retailers.
