UPDATE: Images of the rare Air Jordan 1 'Satin Royal' are starting to flood in. The hard-to-find version of the OG Royal was only released at a couple of stateside stores, and unsurprisingly has become a hot ticket item. With all pairs snatched up, you'll have to part with a reasonably-sized cheque to get your hands on them. But if that doesn't phase you – roll over to Stadium Goods now and pull the trigger.
Amid the commotion of last weekend’s ‘Royal 2017 Retro’ AJ1 drop, Jordan Brand decided to give Jay fans a special treat. Echoing the ‘Bred’ release of 2016, a limited amount of satin variations of the coveted colourway were also released alongside the retro. Last time the drop went down at a pop-up, but for this outing the honour of hosting the surprise release was given to two of Jordan Brand’s oldest accounts – Active Athlete in Houston, and Walter’s in Atlanta.
Plenty of blurry images of the special release have been circulating in the days since it made it out into the world, but now we’ve got the best look yet. Naturally, the photos have come via a reseller on the 'Bay because the only way you’ll see them out of the box right now is in a listing. Enjoy the satin sheen over the black and Royal layers, and, if you’re feeling flush, you can own them for somewhere around $2000 USD.
