After 32 years, Jordan Brand are still finding ways to produce new Air Jordan 1 colourways with an OG feel. This new ‘Soar Blue’ make-up is a testament to that skill. Bearing a strong resemblance to the classic ‘Chicago’ AJ1, this new colourway features a white base and black accents with ‘Soar Blue’ overlays substituting for the crimson red of the Chicagos. A matching blue outsole has been fitted underneath, while an underlay of black leather at the toe has been added as a point of difference from the shoe’s vintage ancestor. However, branding is truly where this release differs. An absolutely massive ‘Nike Air’ logo has been embroidered at the heel, while the tongue features the Jumpman and the traditional ‘Wings’ logo on the ankle has been replaced by large-size Air Jordan text – as found on the 'Rare Air' AJ1s. The only unfortunate part is that these are available in kid's sizes only!
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High BG in 'Soar Blue/White' is available right now from select Jordan Brand stockists, including Rock City Kicks.
