UPDATE: A shoe this good deserves another look and we've got Titolo to thank for these appetising new shots – including our first on-foot look at this truly OG retro. Don't forget, these are dropping May 6. Sleep on them and you may be left waiting another 32 years for them to return!
UPDATE: It is always important to keep your wits about you when a release date leaks. After all, you're typically placing blind faith in the hearsay of baseless whispers. In this case, however, the rumours have proven to be 100 percent true!
The Air Jordan 1 High 'Metallic Red' will be making its long overdue return this May. It mightn't attract the same hype factor as 'Breds' and 'Royals', but as one of the last AJ1 colourways from the original line-up to be retroed in true OG form, this release is a must-cop for all true Jordan heads.
Word on the streets is that the Air Jordan 1 ‘Metallic Red’ colourway will be returning to the shelves. The rumour mill has gone into full swing with speculation that the retro will be different to previous versions – the most recent being a 2009 release – and will feature Nike Air branding on the tongue and no Jumpman on the heel. If this is true, that would make it the first ever ‘White/Varsity Red’ retro with the Nike Air branding. Let’s hope the smooth white leather makes a return to the upper for this round too.
For all you Jordan heads getting amped up, you’ll have to wait until May 2017 for the drop. We’ll keep you posted as more info comes to hand.
