Following a stellar rookie year, it didn't take long before Nike recognised they had a future star in Michael Jordan. By the time the Air Jordan 2 rolled around, the usually aggressive Swoosh branding had already started to fade from His Airness' signature kicks – making its last external appearance on the heel of the Air Jordan 6 and disappearing entirely from all retros in 2002. In the years that followed, Jordan Brand righted their wrongs and finally brought back the Swoosh in varying degrees, but this right here is a release that pulls a total 180.
The Air Jordan 1 'Swooshless' pack drops the AJ1's distinctive sidewall Swoosh branding for an incognito take on the low-top classic. Branding isn't totally absent from these kicks however, with the Nike Air and Air Jordan logos embossed on the tongue and heel respectively. Constructed from premium full-grain tumbled leather and dropping in three tonal colourways – alongside a trio of matching caps – the Swooshless pack is an elegant take on an unmistakable silhouette.
