UPDATE: These Fragment AJ1 consolation prizes dropping on Nike.com and Swoosh accounts October 22, fam.

It's pretty hard to overlook the obvious comparisons this Jordan 1.5 release is drawing to the Fragment Jordan 1. While some detractors are quick to dismiss this shoe as a bastardised hybrid imitation of the coveted 2014 release, for the true OG heads out there this release is a double nod to some little known early Air Jordan history. It is pretty well known by now that the Jordan 1.5 was one of the first hybrids in game, created as a sample for His Airness to test out the Jordan 2 sole unit ahead of the shoe's production. What isn't quite so well known is that this colourway actually comes from one of the rarest Jordans of all-time – a stupidly hard to find pair of baby Jordan 1s released in 1985! If this ultimate 'what if' of Jordan history has piqued your interest then hit up Jordan Brand stockists like Wish ATL on October 17th for the drop.
