Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain's collaborative collection is finally official.
Today the Swoosh imprint officially revealed its colab with the storied French football club, which is highlighted by Jumpman-branded kits and special editions of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 5. The release will see Jumpman-branded black and white third and fourth kits join PSG's home and away Nike looks, along with an 'Infrared' goalkeeper kit. As for the AJ1 and AJ5, they both come in black and make use of PSG's distinctive red and white stripe to go with a unique spin on the squad's usual crest.
'Jordan Brand and Paris Saint-Germain share a distinct position in sport and style, so to partner with the club is a natural fit,' says Michael Jordan himself. 'We’re excited to unite these two passionate communities by putting the Jumpman on the chest of Paris Saint-Germain to continue fueling the energy for sport and style globally.'
'The partnership between Paris Saint-Germain and Jordan Brand reflects the ambition of both brands to combine style, performance and innovation,' adds PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. 'We share many values with Jordan Brand, which is known worldwide for its sporting heritage and exciting contemporary designs. We believe it is a partnership which will excite our fans, help us to reach new audiences, and enhance our global reach.'
The Jordan Brand x Paris Saint-Germain colab launches September 14 — ahead of the September 19 date that was originally reported — while the club will debut the Jordan Brand kit on-pitch September 18. It remains unclear exactly where the Air Jordan 1 will be available, but the AJ5 will drop on September 14 via Nike SNKRS for $225 USD.
