For those who missed the live split-screen stream on Instagram, here’s the 411 on Y-3’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection fresh from the hardwood runway of Paris Fashion Week.

To mark Y-3's fifteenth year, Yohji Yamamoto has refocused on the brand’s bones: fashion sportswear. White Three Stripes popped against loose-fitting black apparel, creating killers looks that strike the perfect boundary-pushing balance of futuristic fashion meets present-day streets.

And, of course, the highlight of each ensemble (for us, at least) was fresh Y-3 footwear. The new collection comprises simple slip-ons in black and white – the SUBEROU – each sporting Y-3 branding on the tongue and mounted on white soles cut extra thick; the BASHYO rocks a Chuck-like mid-rise silhouette, utilising stretch canvas and leather for that distinct Y-3 polish (and sitting atop a similar statement sole); the runner-like SAIKO boasts BOOST cushioning and an ankle-hugging Primeknit upper; while KUSARIS caps everything off with BOOST tooling and contrast-colour side-lacing.

The collection is a while away from hitting the streets, but when it does, sign us up for one of everything.
