The Three Stripes' new Y-3 Futurecraft 4D was unveiled recently at Paris Fashion Week. And while any glimpse of a new shoe is a good one, a blurry heel shot circulating left much to be desired. Lucky for us, someone has since got a hold of the shoe and taken a snap that reveals its finer points.
From the front we can see the shoe merges some of footwear’s oldest and newest materials. The leather appliques add a dose of Y-3’s typical theatrics, drawing attention to the overbuilt lace system and adding a rustic feel to the toe. The juxtaposition of old and new isn’t groundbreaking, but Yohji Yamamoto has – as he always does – found a way to make it look fresh and exciting.
Naturally, adidas haven’t divulged any release info for their new Y-3 Futurecraft 4D. Stay tuned and we’ll let you know as soon as they do.
