Adidas have just unveiled their new running shoe, the AlphaBounce. Moving forward from the hugely popular Boost technology, the new Bounce midsole is comprised of highly engineered EVA foam for a responsive, elastic experience while running. The lightweight, seamless Forgedmesh upper allows the foot move as required without any irritation or impediments.
While at first glance the dappled print across the upper may look like white noise, it has in fact been inspired by the technology used to create the shoe. Adidas have used the ARMIS motion capture system in prototyping to assess material tension as the shoe moves, allowing them to create a performance shoe which fits like a glove at any moment during a runner's motion. We can expect to see plenty of colour variations in the not too distant future, as the shoe is set to be popular amongst both runners and sneakerheads alike.
