UPDATE: We’re still awaiting official word from the Three Stripes on when this new laceless UltraBOOST will hit stores, but at least we finally have on-foot snaps to examine. Coming to us from Instagram, the new shots reveal the sneaker to be a snugger version of the UltraBOOST Uncaged – all without a lace in sight.
The adidas UltraBOOST Laceless in ‘White/Beige’ is set to release this summer, though an official date is yet to be announced. Stay tuned for updates.
A new silhouette has joined the ever growing BOOST family. Slotting in between the UltraBOOST Uncaged and NMD City Sock, the UltraBOOST Laceless builds upon the signature styling of the UltraBOOST, adding new elements of stability and structure that do away with the need for conventional laces entirely. Instead, this new model features what look to be elasticised bands woven through the mid-foot – upping the ‘stripe’ count from three to ten in the process. To add to this, an elasticised collar is fixed to the Primeknit upper for a snug fit – sans laces.
First spotted back in March in a blue and black colourway, images of the UltraBOOST Laceless in a clean combination of white and beige have now arrived. Given this new set comes from Team Trefoil itself, we can be sure that a release date is right around the corner.
