Along with the recent Yeezy 750 Boost, the upcoming Ultra Boost ‘Glow in the Dark’ leads us to think adidas are having a bit of fun with the luminous effect at the moment. With a similar release from Reebok not long ago, it would seem that the phosphorescent green is no longer in the domain of the kitsch but rather is quickly becoming a trend.
During daylight hours the Ultra Boost Glow in the Dark has a low-key grey and white colourway across its Primeknit upper and soft Boost sole. When the lights go out a glow in the dark yarn, woven into the Primeknit, kicks into action around the front of the shoe. The outcome could be a great safety feature for night-time runners or a bit of flare for a night at the discotheque – either way it's bound to turn heads.
The adidas Ultra Boost Glow in the Dark doesn’t have any solid release details right now, watch this space for more info.
