Nineties basketball shoes are experiencing a big-time revival, and adidas are cementing themselves at the forefront of the trend. Having brought the Crazy 1 and Crazy 8 to a new, mumble-rap loving audience in 2017, the Stripes unveiled the Crazy BYW earlier this year.
The BYW (BOOST You Wear) calls back to the Three Stripes’ 90s Feet You Wear tech, which mirrored the natural shape and movement of the foot. Of course it’s 2018, so the soles have been injected with BOOST and FYW became BYW.
The latest BYW, which will be released exclusively at adidas’ 747 Warehouse Street Party, sports a black and royal blue upper supported by black and white BOOST cushioning.
The newly unveiled BYW X, on the other hand, sits on a rubber outsole with just a hint of BOOST-y goodness at the heel. A knitted upper and ankle collar ensure comfort all the way.
If you can’t make it to 747, look out for the X to prelaunch on February 17.
