adidas Skateboarding Matchcourt Hi RX2

June 17, 2017

A good sneaker isn’t defined or constrained by its intended purpose, a fact proven time and time again by the frequent exchange and adoption of silhouettes between basketball and skateboarding. A representation of that time-honoured transfer is the Three Stripes’ Matchcourt High RX2, a skate shoe based on adidas’ Matchcourt tennis shoe and inspired by the iconic Top Ten Hi basketball sneaker.

Taking design cues from both skateboarding and basketball, the new silhouette features rubber toe caps, double-wrapped foxing and a signature vulcanised outsole for reliable traction. The Three Stripes have given a nod to the silhouette’s hardcourt history with the addition of thick padding around the high-top ankles. The newcomer will be  released in three clean colourways, with full-grain leather uppers in navy, black and white.

The adidas Skateboarding Matchcourt High RX2 is set for a July 1 drop, you’ll be able to cop all three colourways from select stockists and online at adidas Skateboarding.
