Like the hugely popular Busenitz, the Skate Copa is a shoe for shredding that takes cues from the Copa Mundial. The Mundial is adidas’ all-time most popular football shoe, and is easily recognised by its oversized tongue and panelled toe box. Where the Busenitz takes on both of these features, the Skate Copa reworks them. The stitching at the front of Skate Copa takes on the shape of the toe box rather than covering it completely, and the tongue is similarly styled but shorter. Elsewhere the Mundial’s influence can be found on the overlays that make up the eyelets.
