With the help of UK-based retailed size?, adidas Originals are bringing back the OG 1976 Dublin. The model was designed as a lightweight trainer and proved a hit among the era's athletes. Retaining its minimalist hard gum outsole and its royal blue and orange suede upper, this retro stays entirely true to its 70s roots.
The Dublin trainer was the very first model in adidas' famous 1970s City Series, which saw the brand create unique iterations of the runner to honour a host of European cities. All make-ups in the series were derived from the Dublin silhouette; the colours were simply switched up for each city. Since then, adidas has shown some nostalgic love for the city pack (see, for example, this year's release of the Amsterdam and Paris Gazelles), but this is the first time since 2008 that OG Dublin has been retroed.
If you want to secure an important piece of adidas history, the Dublin will release through the size? app on November 17.
