After we initially caught wind of a new upcoming Ultra Boost silhouette back in April, we've been eagerly anticipating any additional release details from adidas for a number of months now. Today we get an official look at the 'UltraBOOST Uncaged'; a new model inspired by sneakerheads that would customise their Ultra Boosts by removing the shoe's lace cage. Unlike the previous Solebox and Hypebeast 'Uncaged' releases, the UltraBOOST Uncaged has a brand new Primeknit upper design that incorporates a sock collar and a multi-tiered lacing system that allows runners to personalise the style and fit. The Primeknit pattern is also updated, with Three Stripe welded overlays on the forefoot being the only visible branding on the entire shoe. While the upper is almost completely redesigned, the sole unit and unmistakeable heel counter remains the same on this newest version.
The Ultra Boost has already been dominating the sneaker world since it first released back in 2015, and adidas is expected to continue its killer run by expanding the range with this latest silhouette. The hype is very real for adidas right now, and these will definitely be a highly sought after model.
The adidas UltraBOOST Uncaged is available from select adidas Running accounts globally on June 29.
