If you’ve seen adidas Skateboarding’s Away Days you’d have noticed that it seems like Lucas Puig has the enviable knack of being able to flip in and flip out of any possible ledge trick with a bare minimum of effort. The laconic skater launched a similarly low-key pro-model late last year; the Lucas Premier ADV. Modelled off an archival volley-ball silhouette, the light-weight sneaker debuted with a number of mesh and suede iterations, providing the perfect mix of breathability and flick. Now the sneaker gets a lifestyle make-over, swapping the suede for adidas’ favourite textile treatment: Primeknit. Supposedly more for chilling than shredding, the knit version will release in a ‘Triple Black’ iteration. With a tonal vulc outsole, laces and leather Three Stripe overlays – the build swaps traditional construction for a bootie like one-piece upper.
The adidas Lucas Premiere ADV Primeknit releases on February 1 at select adidas retailers.
