The LA Trainer has a rich history. Designed as a key part of the Three Stripes’ release package for the ’84 Olympics in Los Angeles. The sneakers boast an adjustable peg-like Vario Shock Absorption System; a series of small interchangeable cylinders in the midsole that work as cushioning devices. It’s pretty easy to draw a visual link between the pegs and the now iconic-shanks of the NMD. The vintage white colourway looks like an relic from the OG drop with its off white composition traversed by black zigzag stripes and red and blue plugs.
The adidas LA Trainer in Vintage White is available now from select stockists, including Afew.
