Kanye's Next adidas Colab Goes Retro
UPDATE: While it looked like the wild seen at Yeezy Season 5 would be the next shoe and would release, this Calabasas model seems to have jumped the queue. Industry insiders are already acquiring pairs, with one sharing images revealing that the shoe is part of the line. The Three Stripes have named it the Yeezy Powerphase 'Chalk White' on the box, although they're yet to name a release date anywhere. We'll update you as soon as new information comes through.
The man responsible for some of the most-hyped sneaker releases from the past decade has a new shoe in the works. It's not obvious if the model falls under the banner, or Kanye’s joint venture with Kim K – line known as Calabasas. Pictures have began to trickle onto the internet showing a white adidas Powerphase with the brand name stamped on the vamp. The retro look is a shift away from the contemporary look of the Yeezy line (perhaps Mrs. Kardashian-West saw the need to diversify) and is rumoured to be coming in at a much lower price-point than the Boost-equipped Yeezy’s. Nevertheless, Kanye himself was spotted wearing the shoes at the Yeezy Season 5 show, so it remains unclear as to whether the shoe will sport the superstar's name or simply retain hype by association.
The adidas Calabasas Powerphase doesn’t have a set release date just yet but we’ll keep you posted.
