Creative all-rounder Pharrell Williams has added to his already impressive list of collaborations by linking with legendary French label Chanel for a special collection. Featuring three distinctive footwear pieces, the capsule is set to release this week.
Detailed pics of the footwear have been hard to come by, but Skateboard P did give us a sneak peek last month when he appeared in GQ France. The first pair we got a look at is a low-top tennis sneaker with a maximal DIY vibe, featuring hand-drawn-style graphics and text. Covered in doodles and slogans, most notably ‘Freedom’, the white upper is highlighted with Chanel’s double-C logo on the left shoe’s toe.
There also appears to be a white adidas Solar Hu sneaker with heart-shaped ‘Human Made’ branding on the forefoot, possibly referring to a three-way collaboration with Pharrell’s longtime buddy Nigo, who owns the Human Made label.
Recently shared for the first time via Instagram, the last footwear piece is a black leather loafer with ‘CHANEL’ and ‘PHARRELL’ in gold decorated across the forefoot (pictured above).
It’s unclear whether all three pieces will be part of first drop of the Pharrell x Chanel goodies on April 4, but the tennis sneaker looks to be a lock. Be sure to hit up select Chanel boutiques worldwide for pairs, as well a collaborative accessories and clothing.
