Carmelo Anthony isn't just an NBA legend, he's also a high school legend. After transferring to Virginia's storied Oak Hill Academy, Melo led the basketball powerhouse to a 32—1 record during the 2001—02 season and even bested LeBron James and St. Vincent-St. Mary in the Nike Academy National Invitational. Now Jordan Brand is paying homage to Melo's senior season with a 'Class of 2002' rendition of the Air Jordan 13.
The shoe — which first surfaced in August — not only comes in an Oak Hill—inspired Black/Red-University Gold colourway, but even sports Melo-specific branding as 'CLASS OF 2002' and Anthony's logo appear on the left and right insoles, respectively.
Look for Melo's AJ13 to hit select Jordan dealers and nike.com on September 15 for $190 USD.
