The WOOD WOOD x ASICS GT-2160 Keeps Things Clean

Having started their journey as a limited-edition T-shirt brand, Copenhagen-based WOOD WOOD have since become one of the most prominent retailers and collaborators in the streetwear and sneaker scene. Over the years, WOOD WOOD have served up joint projects with the likes of adidas, FILA and ASICS, and now they’re back with the latter to drop a tonal GT-2160.

The retro-inspired silhouette arrives in what’s described as a ‘Cream/Oatmeal’ colourway, though it features hints of brown, green, pink and navy atop a cream and greige-toned base. The GT-2160’s construction has also seen a makeover: its standard meshy side panels have been replaced with a more delicate fabric akin to a fine knit. WOOD WOOD have also added navy lace loops and green heel pull taps, as well as a subtle branding hit that sits halfway down the pair’s throat.
