Update December 17: Following the exclusive SNKRS JP release on December 5, the LeBron James x Nike Air Force 1 'LBJ' will experience a stateside drop also via SNKRS on December 30. Funnily enough, they're dropping the same day as the Air Jordan 1 'Bred Patent', which one are you choosing to pick up?

LeBron James had some unruly fans kicked out of a game between his Lakers and the Indiana Pacers last week, and now he's is getting some kicks of a different kind – namely a new Air Force 1 Low. Dubbed the 'LBJ', LeBron's latest Nike lifestyle sneaker is a homage to Los Angeles and is loaded with special details.

Dressed mostly in cream shades, the upper boasts a checkerboard pattern that's long served as a marker of SoCal cool – thanks to the region's history with Vans, of course. Its most notable detail, however, is stamped on the heel, namely a blue graphic that shows a crown-adorned lion (likely representing LeBron himself) relaxing under a nighttime sky and palm trees. LeBron's signature logo rounds off the assemblage, and his 'Strive For Greatness' motif is stamped on the leather insoles, which sit below sherpa fleece-lined tongues. Black Swooshes and bold tongue badges work with white midsoles to complete the look.

LeBron's history with the Air Force 1 goes all the way back to his days as a high-flying youngster on the Cleveland Cavaliers, so this City of Angels-centric style is a late-career addition to an already-impressive canon. It's set to release via Nike SNKRS JP on December 5, and will likely see a stateside release shortly thereafter.
