Jordan Brand has collaborated with Mark Wahlberg's Wahlburgers fast food chain for three unique make-ups of the all-new Formula 23. Wahlberg first hinted at the colab in late-2016 on an episode of the Wahlburgers reality TV show based on the titular chain. The episode saw 'Marky Mark' take a trip to Nike's Beaverton headquarters to meet with the team at Jordan Brand. The end result sees the newly-introduced Jordan coloured up three ways, each with lashings of emerald green – the Bostonian chain's signature hue. Wahlburgers branding on the tongue and insole add a special collaborative touch.
While we've had burger-themed colabs in the past – most notably END.'s mouth-watering Saucony Shadow 5000, – this is undoubtedly the first official collaboration between a major sportswear label and a burger chain. Could this be the start of a new trend?
It has not yet been revealed whether this colab will be released to public or is simply a promo-only affair. However, Wahlberg has announced that there is 'more to come' from this collaboration – we'll keep you posted.
