Vetements' New Sneaker Is so Edgy
Demna Gvasalia’s has packed their drawing board with bored drawings. The brand has been long-suspected to be a subversive fashion troll — some type of social experiment administered as a prank — and this design isn’t doing that view any favours. The low-top -channelling sneaker comes doodled on and plastered with edgy, faux-woke comments like ‘product placement’.
The seed of the idea is cool. It riffs off the classic art of idle sneaker scribbling that people like Tyler, The Creator have mastered, but delivers it with mocking snark like it was Lil Dicky in sneaker format.
The release is exclusive to Korea's on April 27, although you can save yourself $600 and some change by picking up some chucks and getting creative.
