Vault by Vans and Disney Celebrate Mickey's 90th Anniversary
The world’s most adored mouse is celebrating his 90th anniversary! To honour this OG character, has teamed up with and four famed artists to bring us a special collection.
Artists include Californian graphic designer John Van Hamersveld, tattoo-artist Mister Cartoon, LA-based illustrator Geoff McFetridge, and Vans Vault mainstay Taka Hayashi. With ’ OG LX and matching t-shirt as the staple silhouettes, designers created unique custom artworks that highlight Mickey through their eyes.
Hamersveld illustrates Mickey in psychedelic form with bright colours, while Mister Cartoon provides depth using only black and grey. McFetridge makes use of the black, red and yellow sported by Mickey, and Hayashi rounds out the collection by imagining a mouse-inspired hot air balloon.
The collection will drop at select Vault by Vans accounts on August 25, including online.
