Vans Bring Back the Old Skool 36 ‘Souvenir’ in Burgundy

This year have been been on a tear with their releases and collaborations! Over the past six months they’ve dropped big-name banger linkups with and . Their in-house drops have also been stellar, with the ‘New Future’ pack and the 2015 Chanel messenger bag-inspired . Now the buttoned-up 'Souvenir' 36 – which originally surfaced in July in 'Warm Brown' – is all set to return in burgundy.

The actual construction of this Old Skool 36 remains true, but the usual materials have been elevated. The base layer is laid down in a classic canvas, while the eyestays, toe box and heel are dressed in luxe leather. A twill-like fabric has been added to the jazz stripe, and pinned buttons are dotted across the lateral. Completing this iteration is a faux-worn midsole and classic white laces.

The Vans Old Skool 36 ‘Souvenir’ in burgundy will drop in-store at Sneaker Politics’ Dallas location on September 6. A wider release at select stockists will go down on September 15.
