Vans' Latest Collection Pays Homage to the Golden State

You might not know John van Hamersveld by name, but if you’re familiar with the album covers of Magical Mystery Tour or Exile on Main St, or the artwork for Endless Summer, you’ll know his work. Since the 60s, his surf-inspired graphics have made him a So-Cal icon, so this partnership with California's biggest skate export makes perfect sense.

The artist has teamed up with Vans Vault to bring his iconic Wave print to a new collection. Two Sk8 His — one red, one blue — sport the print on their side panels with contrasting Jazz Stripes for an extra pop of colour. The Golden State colab is marked with JVH branding replacing Vans’ on the tongue tab. It doesn’t get more Californian than that.

If you're keen to skate the streets in a piece of So-Cal history, these will be available through select Vans stockists from June 23.
