Vans Give Led Zeppelin a Whole Lotta LoveRelease: 22 February 2019
It’s been 50 years since Led Zeppelin burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut, and Vans are celebrating this rock’n’roll milestone with a commemorative double drop.
First up, the Sk8-Hi is wrapped in the album’s famous Hindenburg artwork, with fiery Led Zeppelin branding at the heel and ‘Off the Wall’ logo on the tongue. One for true Zeppelin fans, the black leather Era is stamped with each of the band member’s individual symbols. The same symbols appear embossed on the Sk8-Hi midsole, while the Era’s midsole rocks Led Zeppelin in the same fashion.
Adding the finishing touch to the colab, custom packaging features the album artwork, which also appears on the accompanying long sleeve t-shirt and hat.
How many more times will we see such a significant moment in rock’n’roll celebrated in shoe form? Don’t be dazed and confused; cop these from Vans on February 22. Avoid a communication breakdown, and keep it dialled into SF for all the drop info.
