Vans Chuck Animal Prints onto the Chukka
The can sometimes slip under the radar versus their more hyped and prominent waffle-soled peers. That might change with this wild new release that sees multiple animal prints on the canvas uppers.
Because the shoes are, as their name suggests, chukka height, there’s a little bit more real estate for the uppers to display these natural patterns. Atop the vamp and tongue are orange leopard spots, while the lateral quarter has yellow and black tiger stripes, and finally the medial side is the black and white zebra variety. While there’s a lot going on visually, it’ll please the neater sneakerheads to know that these savannah sneakers are actually symmetrical, unlike many patchwork-style colourways. The usual branding touches come as standard, which include the red heel tabs, plus little woven flaps on the ankle collar. Speaking of, the trim is lined with lightly padded leather, just for that extra bit of comfort. As this release falls under the Vans Anaheim Factory collection, expect higher quality canvas, spongy UltraCush insoles, and just overall premium finishing.
