Up Close: The Nike SB Dunk Low ‘CNY’
The undisputed king of silhouettes in 2020, the Nike SB Dunk looks to continue its relentless release schedule in 2021, the hectic ‘CNY’ expected to land in early next year.
Composed in a neck-craning mix of ‘Metallic Copper’, ‘Light Silver’, ‘Pueblo Brown’, and ‘Metallic Silver’, we’ve now got a closer look at the design. Not for the faint-hearted, the colourway is a frenzy of material and aesthetic diversity, ostensibly taking cues from Nike’s storied ‘What The’ series.
Combining ostrich print, woodgrain, shaggy suede, and paint splotches (among other things!), the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘CNY’ of course pays homage to the Chinese New Year, celebrated on February 12. Next year, the holiday will celebrate the Year of the Ox.
