Trinidad Jame$ has announced his new sneaker collaboration with Saucony via his newly launched Hommewrk label. Opting for the popular Jazz model, Jame$ selects a vibrant palette inspired by and named after a popular drink in his native Trinidad: ‘Sorrel Red’.

Monochromatic red shoes can often be difficult to pull off, but this tonal edition has enough depth and textural difference that it presents as more than just a block of bright red. Being a classic runner, the Saucony Jazz features multiple layered panels that provide an effective foundation to display multiple materials and colours. Jame$ takes advantage of this by using a mixture of lush suede and smooth leather across the rear quarter, mid panel and tongue to portray the shades of the hibiscus-infused Sorrel drink.

However, the most striking element on show here is the translucent TPU toe box and matching midfoot river logo and heel tabs, which take on a frosted pink finish. This icy surface is also seen underfoot with the jelly-like outsoles. Custom ‘HOMMEWRK’ branding and gold aglets complete the bespoke colab.

While a small quantity of the Hommewrk x Saucony Jazz ‘Sorrel Red’ collaboration released over the weekend at ComplexCon, fear not, as a wider release is scheduled for November 26.
