Travis Scott and Nike Reportedly Resuming Partnership With Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1 Release

Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 & Air Trainer 1 Release Date

Since November 2021's Astroworld festival tragedy, Travis Scott has largely stayed out of the public eye – a striking change for a near-omnipresent pop culture figure who was never far from the headlines. Apart from announcing his Project HEAL initiative and popping up to perform at a few parties, we haven't seen or heard much from Scott in the last seven months, but that may be changing soon: rumours of a release date for his Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1 colabs with Nike are beginning to swirl.

First reported by Nice Kicks, the rumours indicate that the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 in 'Baroque Brown' and 'Saturn Gold' plus the Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 in 'Wheat' and 'Grey Haze' will hit Scott's webstore and Houston-based boutique Space Village on May 20 before arriving on Nike SNKRS come May 27. At the time of writing, these potential release dates are still pending confirmation from Nike – who did not respond to a request for more information – or Scott's camp.

Scott's Air Max 1s were originally set to release last November before Nike announced that they'd be postponed indefinitely after the chaos at Astroworld. The Air Trainer 1s were never given a solid release date, but they were on display at the event and worn by Scott and his crew during a charity softball game the day before the festival, indicating that a release of their own was imminent.

Scott and tour company Live Nation are still facing a massive lawsuit from festival attendees, which Billboard recently reported has ballooned to over 4,900 plaintiffs. It remains to be seen if Scott's pending legal troubles will affect the reported release, but we'll be sure to keep you updated as soon as more information is made available.
