Having first joined forces in 2019, South Korean streetwear staple and have undergone a bevy of successful colabs, each marked by a slicked-back design language, subdued palette and trademark blend of retro and modern flair. Continuing their fruitful alliance, the duo reunite to reimagine another silhouette from the Boston brand's MADE In UK line: the 991v2.

The release revisits the pair's military and outdoor inspirations, themes first introduced with their Physical Fitness Uniform collection five years ago. Since then, they’ve touched nearly every corner of the New Balance universe, working on the 1000, 550, 2002R, 827 and 860v2 – building a strong portfolio and putting a country lesser-known for joint projects on the collaboration map.

In keeping with the latter's signature grey colour scheme, the thisisneverthat x New Balance MiUK 991v2 maintains a minimalist approach, with hints of subtle contrast. Warm suede panels grace the mesh upper, with earth tone accents and minimal branding appearing throughout. A small TNT badge on the ankle delivers the only pop, keeping the model low-key.

Enjoy a closer look at the model in the shots above. The thisisneverthat x New Balance MADE In UK 991v2 is expected to land on May 9 through the New Balance webstore.
