This Waffle Racer Crater Provides a Further Nod to Nike HistoryRelease: TBC
The Waffle Racer Crater is already a model steeped in Nike history, but now it’s emerged in a colourway that pays further homage to the Beaverton archives. Dressed in a bold green and yellow combo, it has been suggested this colourway is a homage to the Oregon Ducks. However, if you’re not closely linked to the University of Oregon, the scheme could also apply to the green and gold of Brazil and/or Australia... just in time for the Olympics.
Down below, you’ll spot the increasingly common crater foam on the sole unit, which is stamped into the legendary waffle pattern that is so precious in the annals of Nike’s proud history.
The growing collection of Swoosh silhouettes rocking Crater foam is part of Nike’s Move to Zero initiative, a focus that is pushing the brand to transition sneaker production towards zero carbon and zero waste. Helping Nike to ‘protect the future of sport’, this strong focus on sustainability aims to lessen the impact climate change is having on athletes across the world.
Pairs of this vibrant green and yellow Waffle Racer Crater are expected to hit Nike and selected Swoosh stockists quite soon.
