This Nike Air Monarch 4 is For ‘Fragment’ Fiends and BBQ KingsRelease: 17 December 2020
Dad shoes ain’t dead! The Nike Air Monarch 4 is the go-to sneaker for dog walks, shopping runs, and BBQ grilling, among other strenuous activities that demand versatile and stylish footwear. It even provided the base model for the high fashion Martine Rose collaboration in 2019. While OG white/navy and all-black editions are the default, some daring dads may opt for this unorthodox white/black/blue number, which may pass off some strong ‘Fragment’ vibes to their hypebeast children.
The Air Monarch line is characterised by its sturdy leather uppers, full-length encapsulated Nike Air midsole, grippy outsole, and very competitive pricepoint. Bang for buck is what this sneaker delivers in spades. Now it also brings cool colourways: black boldly covers the toe box, eyestays, and ankle collar, while white breaks up the toe cap, mid panel, and heel counter. This two-tone colour-blocking is highlighted with electric blue Swoosh embroidery, upper accents, and outsole sections. They are unironically very cool.
They’re available now from Nike directly in size 6 to 15, including half sizes and Extra Wide widths. At time of writing, they’re temporarily marked down to a steal at $52.97 too! Cop them now to be king of the hill – and grill.
