This Nike Air Max Plus Wears Its Heart on Its SleeveRelease: TBC
Nike are about to unleash an Air Max Plus that wears its heart on its sleeve – rocking an upper that’s covered in ‘Tn’ logos under that signature rib cage. Dressed in a sleek black colourway, the Tuned Air branding is subtle from a distance, but is likely to get tongues wagging amongst those in the know. Speaking of tongues, the tongues on this release are well worth mentioning – executed in tumbled leather and punctuated by shiny gold Nike Air badges. Out back, the beloved ‘Tn Air’ logo hits both heels, again flanked by tumbled leather for a luxurious touch.
The Air Max Plus first landed in 1998, and was the eye-catching creation of industry veteran Sean McDowell. The hypnotic upper takes design cues from Florida’s swaying palm trees and vibrant evening skies. In fact, the distinctive OG colourway’s dusk-inspired blue fade and moulded palm trunk–like overlays helped to establish an enduring reputation that resonates to this day.
Pairs of this Tn-adorned Nike Air Max Plus are expected to release soon via Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
