Official images of a new Nike  Air Force 1 colourway have arrived that bring to mind some recent colabs delivered by Fragment Design and the Jumpman. Emerging in an uncomplicated three-tone colour scheme, black and white are joined by a shade of blue that conjures strong memories of Hiroshi Fujiwara’s work with Jordan Brand – a fine tradition continued earlier this year on the Air Jordan 34. And there was also an Air Jordan 35 that released in some regions and quickly sold out back in October.

Metallic silver adornments on the heel branding and bordering the side Swooshes are another notable addition, in what promises to be a very solid general release for the timeless AF-1.

When it first hit the scene way back in 1982, the Air Force 1 was described as ‘A shoe so revolutionary, the game of basketball may never be the same’. At the risk of disrespecting its significant impact on the hardwood – after all, it was the first baller to use Air sole cushioning – the Air Force 1’s eventual transition from performance to lifestyle arguably made it more influential off the court. The design’s clean lines and undeniable swagger have made it a go-to for limited-edition drops and coveted collaborations in more recent times.

Pairs of the black, white and blue Nike Air Force 1 to land very soon via Nike and selected Swoosh stockists.
