This Air Force 270 Is Inspired by Classic Nike Packaging
Nike’s new Air Force 270 is a futuristic take on the classic Air Force 180, but Team Swoosh are ensuring the early colourways also pay homage to the past.
We’ve seen the vibrant Safari edition, which makes use of Tinker Hatfield’s iconic print and colour palette. And now, the latest colourway takes inspiration from another iconic piece Nike design history: its orange/grey logos and shoeboxes.
The head-turning magnetic closure on the upper is the design’s focal point, and features a small 'Safety Orange' tab and diagonal two-tone grey stripes akin to Nike’s OG shoeboxes. The pop of colour is the perfect accompaniment to the space-age grey that consumes most of the sneaker.
If you can’t wait to unbox these box-inspired Air Force 270s, time to chill on it. Nike are yet to announced a release date, but we’ll let you know as soon as we get launch info.
